Background
Dr. Adam Friedman has successfully worked with the eating disorder population over the past ten years. He was trained at The Renfrew Center, and completed his doctoral dissertation on Anorexia Nervosa and Self-Mutilation, and this paper is currently being edited for submission into a published book. He has a strong psychoanalytic background, and has trained with the Southeast Florida Institute for Psychoanalytic Psychology. Dr. Friedman was a finalist for the Max Hutt Award at Nova Southeastern University, given to the most promising psychoanalytic clinician of the year. Dr. Friedman is also featured in HBO’s award-winning documentary on eating disorder treatment, entitled, “Thin.”
